About Mummy Land

Bandaged legs do not make for a graceful jump, which is most of the joke here. You steer a wrapped mummy across the ledges of a pyramid that has been left to crumble, hopping between slabs of cracked orange stone while a jackal-headed guard in a striped blue headdress patrols the same platforms. Treasure sits on the ledges you would rather not visit, so most of the difficulty is deciding whether a chest is worth the detour. Traps are built into the floor rather than bolted on, and later rooms start asking you to solve the route before you commit to the first jump.

Mummy Land FAQ

Is this a straight platformer or does it have puzzles?

Both, and they are mixed together. The jumping is standard side-view platforming, but the later pyramid rooms lay out their traps and ledges so that only one order of moves gets you through — you have to plan the route as much as land the jumps.

Do I have to collect every treasure to finish a level?

No. The treasure and power-ups are optional and mostly sit on the riskier ledges, so you can clear a room by ignoring them entirely. They are there to make the run easier later, which is the trade the game keeps asking you to make.

How do you play Mummy Land?

Move the mummy left and right along each pyramid ledge, then jump to reach the slab above or across a gap in the floor. Grab the treasure and power-ups sitting on the platforms — they are what carry you through the longer rooms. Watch the jackal-headed guard's patrol before you drop onto its ledge, since sharing a narrow slab with it usually ends the run. Read the trap layout from a safe platform first; later levels are built so the wrong first jump strands you.

Is Mummy Land free to play?

Yes. Mummy Land is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Mummy Land?

No. Mummy Land is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Mummy Land on a school Chromebook?

Mummy Land runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
