Basketball Games

Basketball works in a browser for the same reason it works on a driveway: the core of it is one player, one hoop, and a shot you either make or miss. The games here range from pure free-throw timing to arcade 1v1 with exaggerated dunks, and a few lean into ragdoll physics rather than realism. None of them take more than a few seconds to load, and a round fits inside the gap between two other things.

Basketball Games FAQ

Which of these have a two-player mode?

The arcade 1v1 titles split one keyboard between both players. The free-throw and shooting games are single-player by design, since there is nothing for a second person to do while you line up a shot.

Why do the shooting mechanics differ so much between these?

Some use a timing bar, some use swipe direction and length, and a few use drag-back power. None is more realistic than another - they are different ways of turning a shot into one input, and which one suits you is largely preference.
