About MealMerge

Food blocks in MealMerge line up like a caterpillar: a grinning sandwich head, then cheese, tomato, lettuce, a slab of steak and a shrimp tail, each segment joined to the next by a brass screw. Building that chain in the right order is the puzzle. Every level hands you a jungle-green board with the screw positions already fixed, and a block only mates with a partner whose screw sits in the matching spot — so a piece that looks right will refuse to attach if it is turned the wrong way. Layouts stay generous early and get properly tangled once several chains have to share one board.

MealMerge FAQ

What do the screws in MealMerge actually do?

They are the connection rule. Each block carries a screw at a set position and only joins a neighbour whose screw matches it, so orientation is the real puzzle rather than which ingredient you pick.

Do the food chains have a correct order?

Each level has a target chain to build, and the screw positions are what enforce it — get a segment turned wrong and the rest of the chain has nowhere to go.

How do you play MealMerge?

Rotate a food block until its screw lines up with the open screw position on the chain. Place the block to lock it in — a mismatched screw simply will not join. Work outward from the head of the chain so the order of ingredients stays legal. Study the whole board before committing on the crowded later levels, where several chains have to fit around each other.

Is MealMerge free to play?

Yes. MealMerge is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download MealMerge?

No. MealMerge is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play MealMerge on a school Chromebook?

MealMerge runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
