Boomix
About Boomix
Boomix is a memory match built around a deck of firecracker cards instead of the usual fruit or animal set, and the fuse-and-spark art makes the grid genuinely hard to scan at a glance since half the cards look like variations on the same explosion. Flip two tiles per turn; a match stays face-up and a miss flips both back down after a beat, which is the only real information you get to work with. The board size grows as you clear stages, so the memory work that was trivial on a four-by-four grid turns into tracking a dozen positions at once by the later levels. There's no timer pushing you, which makes the difficulty entirely about how many positions you can actually hold in your head.
How to Play
- Click any face-down card to flip it over.
- Click a second card — if the two match, both stay face-up.
- A non-matching pair flips back face-down after a short pause, so note their positions.
- Clear every pair on the board to advance to a larger grid.
Boomix FAQ
Why does a board with the same matching rule get harder over time?
The rule never changes, but the grid does - clearing a stage moves you to a larger board with more pairs to track at once. What was four positions to remember on an early grid becomes a dozen or more by the later stages, which is where the difficulty actually lives.
Should I bother remembering cards I flip that turn out not to match?
Yes, that's most of the actual game. A missed pair still shows you two card positions before flipping back, and holding onto that information is what turns your next few guesses into informed matches instead of repeated blind flips.
