About Liquid Color Sort
Liquid Color Sort strips a color-sorting puzzle down to two clicks: tap a tube to lift its top layer, tap a second tube to pour it in. The catch is that liquid only pours if the receiving tube is empty or already topped with the same color, so a wrong pour just sits there taking up space you needed for something else. Early boards give you two or three spare tubes to work with, which is generous enough to recover from a bad move. Later ones cut that buffer down to almost nothing, so you end up solving each pour as a small proof before committing to it. There's no timer and no fail state beyond running out of legal moves, which makes it one of the rare puzzles where taking longer to think is never actually the wrong choice.
How to Play
- Click any tube to select the liquid layer sitting on top of it.
- Click a second tube to pour that layer in — it only lands if the tube is empty or already showing the same color on top.
- Work from tubes that are close to a single color first, since those pours are the safest.
- Keep at least one tube empty as a buffer for colors you can't place yet.
- Clear a level by getting every tube down to one color, or reset if you paint yourself into a corner.

Why does the game refuse to pour a color into a tube that still has room in it?
A tube only accepts liquid if it's empty or if the color sitting on its very top already matches what you're pouring — the empty space underneath doesn't matter. Two different colors can never share a top position, so if the destination tube's top layer doesn't match, the pour is blocked no matter how much room is left below it.
What is the point of leaving a tube completely empty instead of using it right away?
An empty tube is the only place you can temporarily park a color that's blocking access to the one you actually need underneath it. Spend your last empty tube too early and you can end up with no legal move left except restarting the level, so it's usually worth saving one until you've worked out which color needs to move first.
