About Dot Dodge

A shield rotates around a fixed centre and dots close in from the outside, one after another, from angles you do not choose. Spinning the shield to meet each dot is simple in isolation; the difficulty is that the next one is already on its way from somewhere else, so a rotation made too early leaves the wrong side exposed. Speed rises the longer you survive, and the runs that end are usually the ones where you over-rotated to a threat that had not arrived yet. The screen never shows more than it has to, which keeps the read purely about angle and timing.

Dot Dodge FAQ

Why do I keep failing right after a successful block?

Over-rotation. Swinging the shield too far past a blocked dot leaves the opposite side open, and at higher speeds the following dot is usually already in flight when you commit to the turn.

How do you play Dot Dodge?

Click or tap to rotate the shield around the centre. Turn to meet each incoming dot at the moment it arrives, not before. Track where the next dot is coming from while you are still blocking the current one. Keep going as long as you can — the speed climbs continuously and the score is your survival time.

Is Dot Dodge free to play?

Yes. Dot Dodge is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Dot Dodge?

No. Dot Dodge is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Dot Dodge on a school Chromebook?

Dot Dodge runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
