ChromaPath
About ChromaPath
ChromaPath gives you a grid of colored squares and one rule: pick the color that claims the most connected territory, and do it in 22 moves or fewer. Picking the color with the biggest immediate payoff is the obvious move and often the wrong one, because a color that only grabs three squares this turn can open a corridor to twenty more next turn, while the greedy pick can seal off a section of the board for good. Later grids split into pockets that only connect through a single narrow color path, so the real skill isn't matching colors quickly but reading two moves ahead before the move count runs out and the board is still half-claimed.
How to Play
- Pick a starting color to claim your first cluster of squares
- Choose the next color based on which one opens the most new territory
- Watch for narrow corridors that only one specific color can unlock
- Claim as much of the board as possible within 22 moves
ChromaPath FAQ
Why did picking the color with the most matches this turn leave me stuck two turns later?
That color grabbed the most squares available right now, but it also sealed off a corridor to a much larger cluster that a smaller, less obvious color choice would have kept open for a later move.
Is there ever a reason to choose a color that claims fewer squares?
Yes — later grids split into pockets that connect only through one narrow color path, so a smaller pick that opens that path is worth more over the full 22 moves than a bigger pick that closes it off.
