About Bobb's World

Bobb eats his way across thirty levels spread over several planets, which is as much plot as this retro platformer needs. Movement is springy — you bounce off enemies rather than avoiding them, so clearing a room becomes a chain of hops that has to be planned a jump ahead. Traps are the real opposition: spikes on a delay, collapsing tiles, and gaps that only open once you have committed. The pixel presentation is deliberately old-fashioned, and the level design follows suit, expecting you to learn a room by failing in it a couple of times.

Bobb's World FAQ

Can you attack enemies directly in Bobb’s World?

Only by landing on them. There is no separate attack, so every enemy in a room is also a platform, and chaining bounces is often the intended route through a section rather than a stunt.

How do you play Bobb's World?

Run and jump through each level, bouncing off enemies to clear them. Collect the treats scattered around every stage. Watch for delayed traps — spikes and collapsing tiles trigger after you land, not before. Work through all thirty levels across the different planets.

Is Bobb's World free to play?

Yes. Bobb's World is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Bobb's World?

No. Bobb's World is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Bobb's World on a school Chromebook?

Bobb's World runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
