About Treat Catch

A Labrador puppy sits at the bottom of the screen with a bowl, and your job is to fill it with the right things. Bones, steaks, wedges of cheese and pieces of chicken drop from the top of the screen, and so do the things a dog should absolutely not eat — socks, tennis balls, balls of wool and live bombs. Sliding the bowl under a run of good treats without a stray bomb sneaking in builds a combo, and the combo is where the score comes from. The falling speed climbs as you do well, and the game hands out bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond medals depending on how long you keep the bowl clean.

Treat Catch FAQ

What are the medals for?

They rank how well a session went — bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond in ascending order. They give a clearer target than a raw score, since you can see which tier you just missed and try again for it.

Does catching a bomb end the game immediately?

The bad items are what you are steering around, and scooping one up is what interrupts the run of good catches you have been building. Keeping the bowl clean is worth more than greedily reaching for one extra steak.

How do you play Treat Catch?

Drag left and right with the mouse or a finger to move the bowl, or use the arrow keys and A / D on a keyboard. Catch the food items — bones, steaks, cheese and chicken — as they fall toward the bottom of the screen. Let the socks, bombs and other junk items drop past the bowl instead of scooping them up. Chain good catches together to build a combo, which is what pushes your score toward the higher medals.

Is Treat Catch free to play?

Yes. Treat Catch is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Treat Catch?

No. Treat Catch is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Treat Catch on a school Chromebook?

Treat Catch runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
