About Skygarden Siege

Your aircraft sits near the bottom of a tall portrait screen, and everything dangerous comes from above. Skygarden Siege is a vertical shoot-em-up in the classic mold: WASD or the arrow keys slide the plane side to side and forward or back, while space fires continuously at whatever's descending from the top. Touch input swipes the plane around instead, trading precision for speed since a finger can cover the width of the screen faster than a key can be tapped twice. Each stage clears by destroying every enemy on screen rather than by surviving a timer, so a straggler hiding at the edge just sits there until you track it down. Bullet patterns thicken noticeably from one stage to the next, and because the view is narrow and tall, there's less horizontal room to dodge sideways than a widescreen shooter would give you.

Skygarden Siege FAQ

Why does the stage not end even though no enemies are visible on screen?

A stage only clears once every enemy is destroyed, and stragglers can drift off to the side or behind scenery where they're easy to miss visually while still counting as alive. If a stage feels stuck, it usually means one enemy is sitting just outside where you've been looking rather than the game being broken.

Is touch control actually worse than using the keyboard, or just different?

Touch trades precision for raw speed — a swipe can move the plane across the full width of the screen faster than repeated key taps can, which helps against wide bullet spreads but makes small, careful adjustments harder to pull off than nudging with a single key press.

How do you play Skygarden Siege?

Move your aircraft with WASD or the arrow keys, or swipe on a touchscreen. Hold or tap space to fire continuously in the direction the plane is facing. Clear every enemy on screen to advance — a stage won't end while even one is still alive. Watch the edges of the narrow screen closely, since there's less room to dodge sideways than in a widescreen shooter. Expect denser bullet patterns each stage, so leave yourself an escape lane instead of committing fully to one side.

Can I play Skygarden Siege on a school Chromebook?
