About Sila
Snowboarding downhill is a one-way commitment, and this game leans on that. You point a rider down a snowy mountain face and the slope does the rest, leaving you with a single decision to make over and over: left or right. Obstacles come out of the white ahead with less warning the faster you go, and the speed climbs steadily for as long as you stay upright, so the run quietly turns from a casual descent into a reaction test. Nothing is scored except distance, which makes each attempt a direct comparison against the last one rather than a set of objectives to tick off.
How to Play
- Press A and D to carve the snowboarder left and right, or tap the sides of the screen on touch.
- Read the obstacles coming out of the slope ahead and pick your side early — late corrections rarely land.
- Stay upright as long as you can, since the descent speeds up the longer a run survives.
- Treat distance as the only target and use each wipeout to work out which stretch of the mountain keeps catching you.
Sila FAQ
Can I control how fast I go down the mountain?
No. The speed builds on its own the longer you last, and there is no brake — your only input is which way to steer, which is what makes the later part of a long run so much tighter than the opening.
Are there tricks or jumps to perform?
It is a pure descent rather than a trick-scoring game. All the difficulty lives in reading the obstacles on the slope and committing to a side, and distance survived is what a run is judged on.
