About Resource Empire

Resource Empire starts you clicking on individual workers to mine, haul, and ship resources by hand, which is exactly as tedious as it sounds until the Upgrade button starts paying that time back with faster output. The real turning point is hiring a Manager, which automates a single mine and frees your clicks for the next bottleneck instead — the game is less about the resources themselves and more about recognizing which mine is currently costing you the most clicks and fixing that one first. Early on, spending everything on speed upgrades outpaces saving for a Manager, but that flips once you're running more than two or three mines at once and clicking everything by hand stops scaling.

Resource Empire FAQ

When does hiring a Manager actually start paying off compared to more upgrades?

Once you are juggling more than two or three mines at once, since a Manager automates one of them completely and frees your remaining clicks for whichever mine is currently the slowest, which manual upgrades alone cannot do.

Why does clicking workers by hand stop working as a strategy later on?

As more mines come online, your clicks can only be in one place at a time, so hand-managing every mine means the ones you are not actively clicking sit idle — automation through a Manager is what actually scales.
