About Naturix

Leaf-backed cards hide animals underneath, and every card back is identical, which is the detail that makes this harder than it looks. Nothing about a face-down card hints at what is behind it, so the only information you ever have is what you have already turned over. Distinct animal illustrations do help once seen, since a giraffe is not easily confused with a panda in the way two similar abstract patterns would be. Pairs are found by memory alone, and the grid grows as you progress.

Naturix FAQ

Does the animal artwork make it easier?

Once a card has been seen, yes. Recalling that a giraffe sat in the third column is easier than recalling an abstract pattern, which is why themed memory games tend to play more comfortably at larger grid sizes than plain ones do.

How do you play Naturix?

Turn over a card to reveal the animal behind it. Turn a second card to look for its pair. Commit each revealed animal and its position to memory. Use the distinctiveness of the animals rather than trying to memorise positions abstractly.

Is Naturix free to play?

Yes. Naturix is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Naturix?

No. Naturix is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Naturix on a school Chromebook?

Naturix runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
