Hexa Color Sort
About Hexa Color Sort
Hexagonal tiles stack in mixed colours and the goal is to end with each stack holding only one, which is the sorting puzzle you may know from the water-and-bottles version rendered in a different shape. Only the top tile of a stack can move, and it can only go onto a matching colour or an empty space, so having nowhere free is what makes a board unsolvable. Keeping one stack clear as working room is the discipline that separates a solved level from a stuck one.
How to Play
- Click a stack to pick up its top tile.
- Place it onto a matching colour or an empty stack.
- Keep at least one stack free to work with.
- Avoid burying a colour under one you have plenty of.
Hexa Color Sort FAQ
Why do I get stuck with moves still available?
Usually because every stack has a different colour on top and nothing is empty. Holding one stack in reserve as working space costs you nothing early on and is what prevents that position from arising later.
