Board space is the real constraint: dragons keep arriving whether or not you have anywhere to put them, so the players who last longest are the ones who merge upward promptly instead of hoarding a row of low-level duplicates. Dragging is deliberately forgiving, with a tap-and-hold before the drag, which suits a game meant to be played one-handed on a phone.
