Sheep need feeding, and fed sheep produce milk and wool you can carry to market — that is the entire economy, and the game is about how much of it you can stop doing by hand. Early on you walk between the feed, the flock and the stall yourself. Later you hire assistants who take over the collecting and the selling, which frees both the money and your attention for a bigger flock and a better-looking farm. The pace is set by how fast you reinvest rather than by any clock, which puts it closer to a management game than to a chore list.
