About Mob Escape

Most runs in Mob Escape end not because you ran into something, but because you hesitated at a fork half a second too long while the crowd behind you closed the gap. It's a single-input chase — the mouse steers your character down a branching path — where the real obstacle is a swarm of pursuers that never quite catches up unless you slow down or pick the wrong turn. Paths widen and narrow unpredictably, and a few branches dead-end, which punishes players who commit to a lane without glancing ahead. There's no combat here, only route-reading under time pressure, and later stretches throw two decision points in quick succession.

Mob Escape FAQ

Is there a way to fight back against the mob instead of just running?

No — Mob Escape has no attack input at all, so the only tools are steering into wider paths and avoiding forks that dead-end; treating it like a combat game and stopping to fight just lets the crowd catch up.

How do you play Mob Escape?

Move the mouse to steer your character down the path as it runs forward automatically. Watch a few paths ahead for forks — some branches are dead ends. Keep moving; slowing down lets the mob behind you close the distance. Pick wider paths over narrow shortcuts when you're unsure, since narrow ones dead-end more often.

Is Mob Escape free to play?

Yes. Mob Escape is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Mob Escape?

No. Mob Escape is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Mob Escape on a school Chromebook?

Mob Escape runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
