Should I brake into corners or drift through them?
Drift. Braking bleeds speed you then have to rebuild, while a tapped drift carries momentum through the turn and fills the boost meter at the same time. Braking is for traffic, not corners.
My drift keeps spinning the car out. What am I overdoing?
Holding the turn key instead of tapping it. A drift needs a short input followed by a counter-tap; continuous pressure rotates the car past the recovery angle and there is no way back from that.
