Grayscale
About Grayscale
One box flashes a colour somewhere behind the board, and your job is to click the box that matches it. That is the entire loop, and the difficulty comes from how briefly the flash lasts rather than from anything on screen getting more complex. Because the prompt appears in the background rather than on the grid itself, you end up splitting attention between watching for the flash and knowing where each colour sits, which is harder than a standard memory game where everything happens in one place. Rounds are quick enough that a wrong click costs you seconds rather than progress.
How to Play
- Watch the background for a colour flash.
- Click the box on the board that matches the colour you just saw.
- Learn the positions of each colour so you are not searching after the flash ends.
- Keep your eyes on the background rather than the grid between rounds.
Grayscale FAQ
Why is this harder than a normal memory game?
Because the prompt and the answer are in two different places. Most memory games flash a tile you then click, but here the colour appears behind the board, so you have to hold it in your head while your eyes move to the grid.
