About Go Octopus Find Pearl

Go Octopus Find Pearl drops a small green octopus into a stone-tiled reef and gives it exactly one job per level: reach the glowing pearl without running into a crab along the way. Movement is grid-based rather than free-flowing, so every press of an arrow key or WASD moves the octopus exactly one tile, which turns the reef into something closer to a maze puzzle than a swimming game. Crabs patrol fixed paths rather than chasing you directly, which means most levels come down to timing your tile-by-tile movement so a crab's patrol has already passed before you cross its lane. The coral and rock formations block direct routes on purpose, so the pearl is rarely reachable in a straight line from where you start.

Go Octopus Find Pearl FAQ

Why did a crab catch me when it looked far away on the last move?

Crabs patrol fixed paths and keep moving every time you do, one tile at a time, so a crab that was two tiles off can close that gap in a single turn if you move toward its lane instead of waiting for it to pass.

Can I cut across coral diagonally to save moves?

No, movement is locked to the four cardinal directions, so coral and rock tiles that block a straight line have to be routed around rather than cut across. Levels are built with that in mind, so the pearl is rarely reachable in a straight path from the start.

How do you play Go Octopus Find Pearl?

Press WASD or the arrow keys to move the octopus one tile at a time. Time your movement around the crabs' patrol paths to avoid touching one. Route around coral and rock tiles that block a direct path. Reach the glowing pearl to complete the level.

Is Go Octopus Find Pearl free to play?

Yes. Go Octopus Find Pearl is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Go Octopus Find Pearl?

No. Go Octopus Find Pearl is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Go Octopus Find Pearl on a school Chromebook?

Go Octopus Find Pearl runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
