Traffic driving where the other cars are actively trying to be somewhere inconvenient. Overtaking scores points and near-misses score more, so the safe line through traffic is also the worthless one - the game is explicitly paying you to take risks that it will then punish you for taking. That tension is the whole design. Speed climbs steadily rather than in jumps, so runs end when your reading of the traffic finally falls behind your speed rather than at any fixed point on the road.
