Boomstone
About Boomstone
Boomstone doesn't warn you before a stack gets out of hand. Match three or more identical stones in a chain and they clear, but leave an odd one sitting alone and it just clutters the board for the next several moves. The grid is tall and narrow, built for one-handed portrait play, which means chains tend to run vertically more often than they spread wide. Matching near the bottom rows tends to trigger the biggest follow-on clears since freed stones drop from above and can line up a second match on the way down. Because the board is this shape, planning a match that clears down a column beats hunting for a wide row that isn't there.
How to Play
- Tap or swap adjacent stones to line up three or more of the same type.
- Matches near the bottom of the board tend to trigger the biggest follow-on clears.
- Watch for stones that don't match anything close by — they'll block later chains if left alone.
- Because the board is tall and narrow, plan matches that clear down a column rather than across a row.
Boomstone FAQ
Why did clearing one match trigger a chain of stones exploding on their own?
When cleared stones fall away, new stones drop in from the top of the board, and if that refill happens to line up three of the same type, it clears immediately without you tapping anything — that's a cascade, not a bug.
Is it better to clear matches near the top or bottom of the board?
Bottom matches are usually stronger because everything above has further to fall, which increases the odds that the refill lines up a second match on the way down.
