Gates come at you in pairs on a bright cartoon mountain, and Slalom Hero is about threading them without scrubbing off the speed you have built. Miss one and the run is penalised; clip the boost panels between them and you claw time back on the rivals descending alongside you. Coins gathered on the way down feed straight into your skier's abilities, so a messy but greedy run can still pay for a cleaner one later. Medals are handed out on finishing time, which makes the gold at the end of each course a genuine target rather than a participation prize.
