About Hockey Hero

One shooter, one goalie, ten attempts. There is no skating and no team around you — the whole game compresses into the moment before a shot, where placement and power have to be chosen against a keeper who is already reading the angle. Ten is a short enough allowance that a pair of wasted shots ruins a leaderboard attempt, so the sensible approach is treating the first few as information about how this keeper moves and spending the rest on the gaps that opens. Points accumulate across the ten and the total is what gets ranked.

Hockey Hero FAQ

What happens after the tenth shot?

The round ends and your points are totalled for the leaderboard. There is no extra time or sudden death, so every one of the ten attempts carries the same weight.

How do you play Hockey Hero?

Aim your shot at the part of the net the goalie has left open. Balance speed against accuracy — the hardest shot is not always the one that goes in. Use your first attempts to learn the keeper's movement, since you only get ten in total. Add up points across the full set and compare the total on the leaderboard.

Is Hockey Hero free to play?

Yes. Hockey Hero is free to play in your browser on BreakArcade. There is no purchase, no subscription and no account required - open the page and press Play.

Do I need to download Hockey Hero?

No. Hockey Hero is an HTML5 game that runs inside your browser tab. Nothing is installed on your device, and closing the tab ends the session.

Can I play Hockey Hero on a school Chromebook?

Hockey Hero runs on any device with a modern browser, including low-powered school Chromebooks, because it loads in the browser rather than installing. Whether it opens depends on your network - some schools block the game host, which is outside our control.
